Employment Services Supervisor
As Employment Services Supervisor, Annette Mulinix identifies employers who will hire ex-offenders, locates job openings and develops relationships with placement agencies and entities such as local Workforce Investment Boards. Ms. Mulinix also conducts initial employment orientation and training as required by the State and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). In addition, she supervises CalWORKS student workers and interns.
“I’m honored to work for such a great nonprofit that serves so many diverse populations in the community,” says Ms. Mulinix, who joined the Safe Refuge team in 2008.
Before Safe Refuge, Ms. Mulinix was office manager for Surface Modification Systems; a volunteer for the AMI-ABLE Program at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center; and taught fine motor and cognitive skills to developmentally disabled children at Bethany Manor. She presently volunteers at Light & Life Christian Fellowship.
Ms. Mulinix is a certified addictions treatment counselor, holding certificates in human services, drug and alcohol studies, chemical dependency and business digital literacy.
